Businessmen Affirm BPI as Best SME Bank
The Bank of the Philippine Islands’ (BPI) reputation is once again affirmed as the best bank for the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the Philippines as it bagged the Gold Medal Award for overall reputation in the 1st ever Radar Global SME Bank Reputation Awards. Completely based on client response without any criteria for eligibility, BPI has gained favorable response from its consumer banking clients for the initiatives of its Corporate Banking Division and its subsidiary, BPI Family Savings Bank (BPI Family).
“BPI stood out among the many banks in the Philippines based primarily on the response of 1,100 SME business leaders interviewed in Manila. SMEs have proven its potential to help emerging economies like the Philippines to blossom in the world market, but they need the help of banks that cater to their needs. This award is our way of inspiring these banks to continue its support for SMEs,” shares Grant Beuzeval, Radar Global Co-Founder.
Radar Global is a Hong Kong based specialist business research agency which has conducted more than 10,000 interviews in 2012 with business owners and finance managers of SMEs in China, Egypt, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
BPI Family VP and Division Head for Ka-Negosyo Loans, Cedoy Roces shares, “truly it’s humbling to know that our own clients have held us with high regard for the services that we provide them. Through our Ka-Negosyo Loans, we will continue to make franchising easily accessible for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to help them grow their business.”

BPI Family and Two Franchise Giants Boost Franchising
BPI Family Savings Bank (BFSB) announces its support for two premier franchise associations in the country, Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) and Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc. (AFFI). Together, they commit to reach out and become the Filipino’s Ka-Negosyo partner by encouraging seasoned and aspiring entrepreneurs to try their hands on franchising.
“People need to be entrepreneurs and the best way to accomplish that is to encourage them to go into franchising,” says Jose Teodoro “TG” Limcaoco, BPI Family Savings Bank President.
To demonstrate their commitment, BPI Family, PFA and AFFI conducted a symbolic gesture of joining together three large coins that signified their collaboration to promote a prosperous year for Negosyantes and support the rising franchise entrepreneurs.

Today, BPI Family also officially launched another breakthrough product, the Ka-Negosyo Franchising Loan that will concretely assist aspiring entrepreneurs to start their dream business through franchising. BPI Family likewise makes it easy for Filipinos to access this loan through the launch of its website www.bpiloans.com.
The “Ka-Negosyo Franchising Loan”, the first franchising loan in the market, is supported and sealed with authenticity by PFA and AFFI to make sure Ka-Negosyo clients get the best investment and franchise deals. This loan product of BFSB introduces the “lite mode” in which clients pay only for the interest on the first six months and start paying for the principal payment on the 7th month. This allows the freed up cash flows to be allotted for other start-up costs necessary for the business. With loan amounts starting at P500,000, clients can easily start and sustain a business.
